The Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance from anyone who may have information regarding this case or who may have been at the Quick Stop Market at 1620 Lincoln Road, Yuba City between the hours of 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on May 18, 2002. It is believed that the meeting between the victim and one or more individuals was not suspicious and therefore did not attract attention. A surveillance video from the store shows multiple persons entering and exiting the store that may have seen or heard something that will assist in this investigation.
The Carole Sund/Carrington Memorial Reward Foundation has agreed to sponsor a $5000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Carol Guillen.

Carol Guillen Homicide Update:
On Saturday, May 18, 2002, between the hours of 6:30 and 7 P.M., Carol Guillen was summoned to the payphone area of the Quick Stop Market at 1620 Lincoln Road, Yuba City, (Lincoln @ Walton Avenue). Ms. Guillen was driving a black, 1999 Honda Civic, 4-door, California license number 4FSG574. It is believed that Ms. Guillen met at least one person on the east side of the store and that they left the parking area in her vehicle, driving South on Walton Avenue. Ms. Guillen's body was discovered a short distance away in an orchard near Bogue and Walton Avenue. Her vehicle was returned to the Quick Stop Market and left abandoned until discovered by Sheriff's Deputies.
Carol Guillen is described as a Hispanic female adult with shoulder black hair and brown eyes. On the day of her death she was discovered wearing a red short sleeve t-shirt, full length nylon-type exercise pants, navy blue in color, white tennis shoes, and a pair of sunglasses. Both front windows of her vehicle were down when found. Ms. Guillen was known to listen to amplified music, and may have been doing so when she arrived at the market.

On November 13, 1999 at 0700 hours, Saturday, Carolyn Sue Hannaford was found deceased in south Sutter County, in the area of W. Catlett and Vernon Road, west of State Route Highway 99. She was the victim of an apparent homicide.
Hannaford was dressed in a white t-shirt, light blue jeans and white socks.
Hannaford was known to frequent the area of Main, Lincoln and Washington Streets in Roseville, California.
A $1,000 reward is being offered by the victim's family for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the responsible(s) party.

Sutter County Sheriff's Investigators have identified a female body found fully unclothed in South Sutter County drainage ditch on April 2, 1999 at approximately 9:45 a.m. The victim has been identified as 31 year old Elizabeth Frances Picchi.
An autopsy was performed and the cause of death was determined to be strangulation and multiple stab wounds. She has a permanent address out of Grass Valley, but appears to be a transient frequenting the Yuba/Sutter area regularly. She was last seen in the Linda area.

On 11-22-06, Keng, Xao and friends went fishing at the Sutter Bypass. Shots were fired at the five companions from an undetermined source. Keng and Xao were fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance from anyone who may have information regarding this case or who may have been in the area of the Sutter Bypass at Highway 20.
We are interested in a brown or tan SUV similar to a Nissan Pathfinder or a Toyota 4Runner which was seen nearby. A group of five or six Asian males were reported to be fishing the Bypass with the aforementioned vehicle.

Homicide Investigation - Cause of Death - Identity of Victims
An autopsy of the victims killed on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at the Sutter By-Pass, north of highway 20 has been completed.
Xao NMN YANG, Hmong male juvenile, 17 years old, a resident of Yuba County was recovered on Wednesday at the ditch bank at the by-pass. The autopsy determined that Xao YANG had been mortally wounded by firearms fire.
Keng NMN YANG, Hmong male juvenile, 17 years old, a resident of Yuba County was recovered the next day by family members searching the by-pass area. The autopsy determined that Keng YANG was also killed as a result of firearms fire.
Sutter County Sheriff’s Detectives have continued to investigate this case since Wednesday however no further information can be released at this time.
The Sheriff’s Office is still looking for a white Ford F150 pickup described as “a vehicle of interest” that was seen near the area at the time of the shooting.

Homicide Investigation - Sutter By-Pass
At approximately 3:44 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, Sutter County Sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a report of a person calling for help on the west side of the Sutter By-Pass, north of highway 20. Meridian Fire/Rescue and the Sheriff’s Office responded.
Upon arrival, three persons were contacted at the bank of the Sutter by-pass. One of the subjects was mortally wounded with apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to the two remaining witnesses, they, along with the deceased and one other companion were fishing at the by-pass after being dropped off earlier by a friend. While fishing, gunfire erupted from an unknown location and one of the companions was immediately struck and another companion jumped into the water of the by-pass. He submerged shortly thereafter and did not resurface. The two remaining individuals were not hit and ran to a nearby residence to summon help.
The individuals, including the deceased and the missing person are all juveniles, 17 years of age and all reside in Yuba County.
The underwater search and rescue teams from both Sutter and Yuba Counties were called out and were still diving in the area as of 7:45 PM in an attempt to recover the person still missing. CHP Helicopter H-20 also assisted in searching the area.
Suspect information is sketchy at this time however the Sheriff’s Office is looking for a white Ford F150 pickup described as “a vehicle of interest” that was seen near the area at the time of the shooting.
Release of the name of the victim is pending notification of next of kin. No further information is available at this time.
