Kim Randhawa

Kim Randhawa grew up in Yuba City and graduated from Yuba City High School. After graduating, she attended Yuba College and later moved to San Jose, California with her husband. Kim received her Accounting degree and a second degree in Business Administration from Mission College, Santa Clara. She started her accounting career in 1998 as an entry level accounting clerk with a transportation company in San Jose. In 2000 she was promoted to manage the accounts receivable section and later in 2005 she was promoted to the company controller’s position as the head of the accounting department and she stayed in that position for 12 years. Kim and her family moved back to Yuba City in 2017; and she joined Colusa County Auditor-Controller’s Office. At Colusa County she managed the operations of the property tax section of the County for 1 year. In July 2018 Kim joined Sutter County Sheriff’s Office as the Administrative Services Officer.

Kim has a substantive responsibility for preparing, monitoring, and balancing the Office's budget. As grants are an important source of funding for the office, she also investigates and prepares appropriate grant applications, contracts, and reports.

Other responsibilities include the preparation of cost reports and studies, fiscal analysis, review and approve department payroll, purchases, claims, prepare billing, audit financial transactions as well as interpreting and implementing fiscal and administrative laws. She also writes all staff reports to the Board of Supervisors for agenda items being submitted by the office.

Additionally, her responsibilities include representing the Sheriff's Office at meetings with other public agencies at various levels of government.

Kim and her husband along with their son live in Yuba City. Kim enjoys spending her off time with her family, outdoor activities, watching movies, and reading.
